Wow what a week of college football we had, and this one should prove to be even better! In a classic SEC matchup we have the team from Florida travelling over to Good ‘Ol Rocky Top to take on Tennessee. Will Tennessee bounce back after a bad loss, or will Florida build on two good wins?
Now Florida while having some struggles early in the season, has strung some wins together here as of late. They have a solid offense, especially through the air and are tied for points scored per game with 30.2. That is not a bad offense by any means. The real issues come on the other side of the ball as their defense allows the 199th fewest points, making them one of the worse defenses in college football. To win this game they would have to force Tennessee into a shootout, but the team from Rocky Top is no slouch on offense either.
Now Tennessee is ranked number eight for good reason. Despite a bad loss last weekend, this squad is one of the best in the country with both a top seven offense and defense by yards gained and allowed. Tennessee scored almost 16 more points a game than Florida while allowing 15 fewer. Nico has been great, but the majority of the offensive production comes via Dylan Sampson’s legs on the ground. Give me Tennessee in this bounce back spot against an inferior, but not terrible Florida team.
So whether you are rooting for a clear favorite or hoping for a miracle by the underdog, the most important thing to remember is that you must be in it to win it.
