Game Analysis
The Big 10 is set to witness a thrilling encounter as the No. 1 Buckeyes of Ohio State prepare to face off against the unranked Michigan State Spartans in a showdown this week. Both teams are brimming with talent and have a history of intense competition.
So it’s definitely been a bit of a down season for the Spartans so far this year. They beat Nebraska last week, ending a 6 game skid and hopefully getting the boys in green back on the right track. The offensive struggles have been more prominent, as they have a lower echelon offense and a more middle of the pack defense. Katin Houser has struggled a bit, but with some of the holes MSU has in their offensive line, you can’t place too much of the blame on him. Will they be able to go to the U and pick up the upset really shaking up the CFP standings?
If you ask me I would say probably not, OSU is just too good. Ohio State has one of the best offenses and defenses in college football. They have a top 35 offense in terms of points scored, and a top-15 defense in terms of yards allowed. They’re undefeated for a reason and have beaten some solid teams like Penn State and Notre Dame. Kyle McCord is one of the most underrated quarterbacks in college football, and Marvin Harrison Jr. is probably the best wide receiver prospect we have been able to see in years. The run game is also good, and we can’t forget about the defense which should perform well against a floundering MSU offense. Give me the Buckeyes in this one.
