San Diego State is looking alright after another season above .500 for the thirteenth consecutive year. Despite some offensive struggles the Aztecs were solid, mostly because of their defense which was more stifling then a pillow in an old slasher movie. Bringing in a new offensive coordinator was absolutely the right move, but the Aztecs did lose a lot of key pieces on the offense especially at receiver. QB is another position the Aztecs might have issues with as Mayden came in in the middle of the season last year and only had two more touchdowns (12) than interceptions thrown (10). Still, San Diego State is favored in this game but will they be able to win this tough matchup as favorites?
If you ask me I would say probably not. Rourke, the Ohio QB, will be back and starting after tearing his ACL and meniscus last year. The dude is kind of a stud, with only one more pick thrown in his career than Mayden but 27 more touchdowns. The Bobcats have a solid ground game, and some talented receivers who should make Rourke’s job even easier. Sure the Aztecs might have a bit better of a defense overall, but Ohio’s d isn’t bad at all, and should be up to the challenge of stopping that poor San Diego State offense. If you ask me, Ohio should not be the underdogs in this game. Give me the Bobcats to start their season off with a win.
The Ohio Bobcats are in my opinion a better team than the Aztecs, but bet on either team and get your extra $200 in bet credits.
