VAMOS MESSIIII! It’s finally time to see Messi in some MLS games. After the mid-season tournament break we finally get to see the greatest soccer player of all time do some damage in the MLS. There is a chance that New York puts up a fight but there is little you can do as an MLS team to slow down the tsunami of scoring that is Lionel Messi right now. Plus Messi isn’t the only player from Barcelona that Inter Miami has decided to poach. I think this game has a good chance of being over before it begins. I love the Red Bulls, but it’s Messi and Co.

The New York Red Bulls have been a solid team so far this season, unfortunately not a great one though. They currently sit at 11th in the Eastern Conference of the MLS with a record of seven wins, eight draws, and nine losses. That is okay, but okay is definitely not good enough to beat this fully reloaded David Beckham side. Their highest goal scorer right now is Frankie Amaya, who actually has his team-leading four goals (ew I know), in only 15 matches. That should mean, if my math is any good that he has not played in nine of the Red Bull’s 24 games and is still leading their team in goals. As long as he’s healthy and playing he is a real threat in this league. Coincidentally their leader in assists has also sat out a good amount of games this season and also has a tally of four. Again, I hate to be brutal but it’s never a good sign when your best players only have four goals or assists.

Nueva Barca, oh wait sorry I mean Inter Miami has been on fire since Lionel Messi stepped on the pitch. In the Leagues Cup tournament which was Messi’s debut with this team, he put ten goals in while only playing in seven games. I am terrified of what this man is about to do to the league. He is going to be breaking all sorts of records and it will start against this New York Red Bulls team. Not to mention they also added Messi’s best friends Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets to the squad to pile on the assists and add some veteran presence to the locker room and this team is primed for the craziest zero-to-hero run ever. Messi has even made the 28-year-old Robert Taylor start to look world-class as he starts opposite of Messi in this Inter Miami squad.

Inter Miami may have a worse record than the Red Bulls, but they have Lionel Messi. Bet on Inter Miami, and when you deposit $50, get $250 in bonus bets!
